Episode #24: Gunther Kracke
In this episode, Torsten speaks with Gunther Kracke about what really gets companies moving and why performance begins long before it is reflected in KPIs. His starting point is a clear conviction: KPIs are not goals, but the result of how well an organisation functions. Gunther explains why even good processes can fail to have an impact if people are not on board, and why change needs its own momentum within the organisation. They discuss the three “operating systems of the brain” – security, belonging and satisfaction – transparency as a foundation for change, and the small levers that can often have a major impact within a company. They also explore why leaders themselves need space for reflection and why a shared vision can provide greater orientation, particularly in uncertain times, than KPI pressure alone.
Our guest is Gunther Kracke, founder of Oculus Concept GmbH. After many years working on large-scale SAP projects, project management and project recovery, he now focuses on how people, structures and collaboration interact in processes of change. In the conversation, he combines more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of IT, business and people with a systemic perspective on organisations and a personal conviction that has stayed with him since childhood: often, far more is possible than initially assumed.
