How Marantec established a company-wide savings process.

Marantec has been developing drive and control technology for doors and gates of all types in East Westphalia since 1957. In collaboration, it delivers solutions for private, commercial, and industrial customers—solutions whose reliability is continually appreciated.

The drive-system manufacturer Marantec sought to transform the company to manage cost-saving measures more effectively, present progress more transparently, and make successes measurable. The central Valuedesk cloud platform now enables the Marantec team to collaborate efficiently, roll out savings initiatives across all plants, and significantly boost annual savings.

In February 2019, Marantec was in the midst of a comprehensive transformation aimed at strengthening its market position through intensified internal and external networking. Internally, the company placed special emphasis on collaboratively generating savings. For the redesign of their savings process, only a sustainable, specialized software solution would suffice—one that empowered the Marantec team to execute cost-saving measures systematically and consistently.

FOCUS – MARANTEC SOUGHT A TEAM-ORIENTED SOLUTION

All functions needed to be united in a single, user-friendly software to drive savings effectively—so intuitive that employees from different departments could use it without extensive training. Marantec identified Valuedesk’s Value Management System (VMS) as the optimal solution for these challenges. The software specializes in savings management while also serving as an intuitive collaboration platform. System activation and customization were completed within one week; employees from multiple departments were onboarded through brief workshops and training sessions. Building on this foundation, Marantec digitized, democratized, and accelerated its savings process via the solution points outlined below.
